This adventure is compatible with OSR products such as AD&D, B/X D&D, Shadowdark, Knave, White Box, Swords and Wizardry, and more. It is designed for a group of 3rd level characters with suggestions on how to increase or decrease difficulty depending on the number of players you have. The adventure is a pure dungeoncrawl and is only one level. My personal preference are short dungeons you can complete in a single session, and that's what this one is.
The Story So Far...
Settlers hoping to start a new and exciting life near the woods cleared an area and built a camp a few months ago. Things went well for a season, but of late the inhabitants have had disturbing dreams at night and even hallucinations during the day. Many suspect a dark influence, but no one has seen anything of substance.
What the settlers don't know...
An unseelie fey was imprisoned in a dungeon beneath the camp long ago for his crimes against a powerful fey lord, who once ruled this region long ago. The camp is close enough to his prison that he has begun to enter their dreams and even their waking minds to cloud and confuse them. In time, he will drive them all insane if not stopped. The dungeon is an inverted pyramid becoming more compact and narrow as one descends.
